We’ve got a dear friend who died of breast cancer many years ago. We all thought she was completely healed of this genetic disease as she was declared cancer free after years of chemotherapy. I remember she would frequent the Pink Sisters in Baguio who helped her pray for her recovery. Not until a few months then when her family told us she was gone.
Visiting her house was never the same. Attending parties and gatherings became seldom. She used to organize these things. And now she was gone. And breast cancer claimed her life.
It is perhaps this reason that I support groups providing care and assistance to cancer patients. These cancer patients need all the support and attention they require. And an all-Filipino social enterprise named LoveHopeFaith Group (LHF) is one of those circles that give such help.
