Christmas is just a few weeks from now; have you already planned your Noche Buena?
We recently attended the Paskong Sarangani Bay appreciation gathering organized by the company for their blogger partners. So thankful that we made time for it as we learned delicious holiday recipe ideas using Saranggani Bay Prime Bangus products. Among these recipes were Bangus Sisig, Holiday Crostini with Smoked Fish Pate, and Spicy Sardines Pasta using MIO (Milkfish in Oil).
The recipes presented give a healthier take to any Noche Buena celebration. We plan to prepare these dishes on the eve of December 24, too. For the past years, we weren’t too conscious of serving healthy meals as we want everyone to enjoy good food and drinks. But we’ve realized that eating healthy doesn’t mean having bland food for the holidays. On the other hand, it shows that we are becoming conscious of our unhealthy lifestyle and are now trying to welcome all the nutrients our body needs.
Bangus Sisig
Our boys love sisig very much and a healthy alternative that is budget-friendly, too, is sisig sans pork. We prefer to mix our Bangus flakes with some creamy and sweet mayonnaise and top it with fresh onions and chopped spring onions.
Spicy Sardines Pasta
Another favorite holiday dish is pasta. This time, we will try the Sardines Pasta. We often only open a can of this fish during petsa de peligro or when our budget is tight. But sardines have a number of health benefits that we should give notice to. It has Omega 3 fatty acids which protect our heart from brain and heart attacks. It has calcium, too, which helps the bones become strong and in a way, prevent osteoporosis.
Holiday Crostini with Smoked Fish Pate
The boys must taste this delicious Holiday Crostini with Smoked Fish Pate. Its smoky taste and creamy texture with a mixture of herbs and lemon zest is an excellent appetizer atop a chewy bagel or even a loaf of plain bread.
Kusina Sarangani
At the appreciation gathering, too, Sarangani Bay showcased its #LoveLokal campaign through its Facebook page Kusina Sarangani. The page proudly provides authentic Filipino recipes and encourages Filipinos to patronize our produce. Sarangani Bay Prime Bangus, for one, originates from Sarangani Bay, Mindanao. The place earned its reputation for its consistently high quality packaged seafood products.
The Saranggani Bay brand is the country’s largest processor and exporter of seafood products. It is available in selected Robinsons, Rustans, S&R, Shopwise, SM Supermarket, and Waltermart outlets nationwide.
Paskong Sarangani Bay
We encourage you to try these dishes, too and consider serving them in your Noche Buena. The Sarangani Bay premium products are all readily available in either Sarangani Bay Facebook or Website. More than feeding ourselves all the nutrition we need, opting for a healthy diet has a lot of benefits. For one, being healthy means preventing diseases, thus improving longevity. Having that balanced diet also provides us with the needed energy for a more extended period. Healthier food choices even leave us feeling more alert, focused, and attentive.
There are a hundred and more reasons healthy eating gives us and why not start now?
