The Bucket List
When Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson’s Bucket List graced Hollywood, a lot of people I know made their own set of goals. This flick about two terminally ill men escaped from a cancer ward. They headed off on a road trip with a wish list of to-dos before they die.
I remember I also made my own, too excited to tick off a few items that created a significant impact on my life. More than pushing me to look forward to something, a bucket list reminds me of life’s meaning and purpose. All the more that it gives me that sense of direction in life. And with a clear mental picture of what I would like to aim, I am motivated to achieve that goal. A bucket list makes not a monotonous regime but fills my days towards a ‘purpose-driven life.’
The preoccupied world
In this present world where the busyness of life tends to leave our thoughts cluttered, so as our goals are pushed back. The growing noise of this world can easily drown the things we may consider relevant.
As we can be at lost, mainly when preoccupied of so many things, it is best that we re-align our priorities and set our goals in life. And we can do it by looking at our bucket list. Our to-do list will be our reminder of those goals. It will give us a sense of direction in life, and it will make us realize that we are living for a purpose. There is nothing more fulfilling than knowing we are doing the things we most love and wanted while creating everlasting memories we can cherish.
The purpose-driven world
It is with this purpose that I encourage you to join the Bucket List Summit on October 19-20 at the SMX Aura. This life-changing event will surely help us discover the significance of creating a bucket list for ourselves. To sign up, click here.Â
This sounds like a great summit. I wish that we lived close enough to attend. Maybe in the future they will offer online options.
Unfortunately I don’t live near otherwise I’d like to attend it. I think this summit has an interesting topic… Thanks for sharing the news. – Paolo

I love the concept of a Bucketlist summit. I would love to attend!
I like these kind of summits where you get to learn from the inspirational talks. I dont live here but in India I have attended similar summits. There is lot to learn really.
Nakaka relate ako while watching the Bucket List so many months ago. When we are old and would like to go to new places or do somethings which we fail to do in our liftetime, masarap balikan ang bucket list if only to guide us what we achieve and what we still want to do with our lives.
Great engaging and interesting gathering. This is a new summit kind for me and I’m interested to learn more about it.
Wow, this sounds like a nice event to attend to and with so many great speakers I am sure it will become a successful event.
This seems like a must go event. Too bad it’s not near me x

That’s such a cool name for a summit. I never thought of a Bucket List as having a purpose, but truly it is to set goals for one’s self and have a purpose. I wish I could go.
I keep a mental bucket list that I repeat on my mind whenever I need inspiration. I think everyone should have their own bucket lists because these are what will drive us to keep on going no matter what.
I made a bucket list a few years ago, but I never remember to go back to it and reflect on it to see if I did anything new. I need to start making a new bucket list every year so I can accomplish more without forgetting about it.
I create bucket lists, but the problem is it stays in the bucket only 😀 😀
I will have to locate a motivator…
This is a powerhouse of speakers. I wanna be like Chinkee Tan so that I can retire and be financially stable at 50. 🙂 Ehem that’s 6 years to go.
I cried so hard at the end of that movie! This looks like a great summit. I actually recently made a 40 before 40 bucket list!
This sounds like such a great event, Berlin! I’m still in the process of making a bucket list.
