PERSONAL NARRATIVES, MOMMY TIPS, AND THRILLING DISCOVERIES TO MAKE DAILY LIFE THE HAPPIEST
My favorites are pan de coco and pan de regla. Sadly, the bakery within our subdivision only offers pan de sal every morning, thus imagine my excitement whenever I see a panaderia. Often, I would buy a few pieces to munch and save some for my midnight snack.
My love for bread started when my mom would buy me bread as pasalubong and baon in school.
I share the small house with five boys. And one thing very common among them is the love for food. Thus, this mother is always busy preparing and cooking food for them. They eat and drink almost anything.
And I am happy that though the three boys are feeling all grown up, they still follow their mom when she says “drink your milk.” Oftentimes during breakfast and before bedtime, they would have their glass of milk.
Husband loves milk as well. Sadly, though, he is lactose intolerant thus his body cannot easily digest lactose, a natural sugar found in milk and other dairy products. Usually, after consuming dairy, he would have diarrhea. To avoid this, he drinks soya milk instead.
Lately, there was no supply of soya milk at our favorite supermarket. Heaven must have heard our plea that a day after that unfaithful time came our #bloggermail.
And I just need to go back.
I, together with four fellow bloggers, celebrated with The Felicidad Mansion as it marks its first anniversary last Wednesday through a grand food tasting event. The place is just as impressive as the food and the styling. Everything speaks of elegance.
I went back to the mansion four days after the grand food tasting and this time with my family. They just need to see the grandness of the place and taste the superb dishes.
Let me tell you something about me.
I am one of those moms who would love to have her own small garden of herbs and vegetables. That each morning, I would harvest my own eggplants and squash or anything I prefer to prepare for my family. That I could ask my little boy to pick for me some calamansi or tomatoes at our small garden anytime I please. And that I need not buy dried and bottled herbs as I could always have them readily available in our own herb pots.
Sadly, we do not have a big yard for that dream. Despite that, though, I have tried a dozen times to grow some onions and calamansi and even tomatoes. We have a tiny space in front of our small house to grow some. I even tried the mongo experiment of my boys, but all to no avail.
“Do things that move you to love.”
Husband would always advise me to do things that move me to love and everything else will follow. Before, I would find it hard to make a decision. There was a time I even put behind my son’s recognition so I could attend what I thought was a very important business meeting. I always struggle making decisions. Before.
If you eat Facebook and Instagram for breakfast, you would certainly see a number of Bento Box posts. Often, you would want to try but sadly, your very pessimistic self would remind you do not have the luxury of time to do as much. So you would end up serving the same packed lunch for your kids. They are happy, I guess, with the packed lunch. But they could even be happier if food on those lunch boxes is perfectly portioned, creatively executed, and beaming with colors and flavors.
With this in mind, joining the first ever Frabelle Foods Bento Workshop is an easy decision. I am confident that after the workshop, I could replicate some of those adorable feasts and even invent some.
Husband is limiting his cholesterol intake. Our children, however, love the taste of meat in almost all dishes. Cooking separate meal for them can be tiresome. Good thing there is PORKSAVOR.

The interiors all the more pushed me to choose a spot among the many empty chairs and ask for the menu. We spent about an hour and a half eating, exchanging a few jokes, and picture taking. The place is just too pretty not to be captured on my camera phone.
