Building Hope with TP in Tanay
As a mom of five, I know the value of building a home and a life rooted in care, compassion, and community. That’s why stories like this warm my heart. TP, one of the leading employers in the country, celebrated its 29th anniversary not with a fancy party, but with something far more meaningful, a day of giving back to a community they helped rebuild from the ground up.

How TP Village in Tanay Became a Symbol of Hope
Fifteen years ago, many families in Tanay, Rizal, lost everything to the devastating floods of Typhoon Ondoy. Instead of turning a blind eye, TP, through its Citizen of the World Foundation, partnered with a non-government organization to build homes for those affected. What started in 2010 has grown into what is now known as TP Village, where 99 families found shelter, dignity, healing, and a fresh start.
As moms, we understand how important a safe home is for raising children. TP didn’t just build walls and roofs. They built a future.
Hands That Lead, Hearts That Serve
To mark their 29th year in the Philippines, TP leaders, including Chief Executive Officer Rahul Jolly and Chief People Officer Jeffrey Johnson, set aside boardrooms and business meetings to spend a day with the families of TP Village.
They repainted houses alongside volunteers. They sat down with children, giving them blank canvases and time to play and express themselves through art. And in true Filipino fashion, they all shared a communal lunch, celebrating life and unity through a simple yet heartfelt “boodle fight.”
This kind of leadership is what our communities need: people who lead by example and never forget the value of serving others.
From Children to Community Leaders
One of the most touching parts of this story is seeing how the children of TP Village have grown. Many of them were toddlers when the first house was built. Today, some are working adults, and a few even raise their families. The village has provided shelter and supported education and development for 145 children and 55 youth.
As a mother, I find so much hope in this. When children are given the right environment and care, they grow up confident to dream bigger and give back.
Programs That Empower Families
TP’s support does not stop at housing. They continue to invest in the long-term growth of this community through programs focused on food sustainability, livelihood and entrepreneurship, education, community health, and local governance.
Imagine this: families learning how to grow their food, moms and dads gaining skills to start small businesses, children going to school with hope in their eyes. That is what honest, meaningful community service looks like.

A Message from the Heart
CEO Rahul Jolly said it best: “More than just houses, we are building homes, hope, dreams, and a future where nobody gets left behind.”
And that, for me, is what every community deserves. As moms, we carry the heart of our families. And when businesses and leaders recognize that same heart in serving others, lives are changed forever.
So today, I celebrate TP. Not just as a company, but as a force of good. I hope more organizations take the time to step outside their offices and into the communities that need them. Because when we give from the heart, the impact lasts for generations.
