That rate was the result of a recent nationwide study of 1,200 Filipino respondents conducted by Kantar Milward Brown. The study tackled people’s behavior towards life insurance and mutual funds. The rather small percentage is what prompted Sun Life Financial Philippines to adopt the theme “Life, Health, and Wealth” for its Financial Independence Month campaign this June.
As stressed by Sun Life Chief Marketing Officer Mylene Lopa, “Life, health, and wealth are the essentials of a brighter future. However, one can only achieve them if he saves and invests for the future.”
