Honoring a Beloved Church Leader and Father
In our lives, we sometimes meet people who leave a lasting impact, touching our hearts and guiding us on our spiritual journeys. For many, Apostle Arsenio Ferriol was one such individual. As the founder and chief executive minister of the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch), he was a great church leader and a father figure to his congregation.
For PMCC (4th Watch) members worldwide, May 19, 2024, was a profoundly sad day as they said goodbye to this remarkable servant of the Lord. In a heartfelt announcement, Deputy Executive Minister Jonathan S. Ferriol shared the news of his father’s peaceful passing, saying, “With heavy hearts, we mourn his passing, but also take this opportunity to honor and remember him for the remarkable life he lived. He was not just a religious leader, but also a father figure to many. His kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith have touched countless lives, making him a true inspiration to us all.”
A Life of Faith and Dedication
Apostle Ferriol was known for his genuine goodness, unwavering faith, and wisdom. His commitment to God, the church, and his family served as an inspiring example for the entire PMCC (4th Watch) community. His faith and dedication led to the establishment and growth of the PMCC (4th Watch) over the past five decades.
In 1973, after a dedicated period of prayer and fasting, Apostle Arsenio received the divine gift and grace of apostleship. This marked the start of his lifelong commitment to his calling as the Goodman of the House, a role foretold by Christ in Matthew 24:43. His proclamation of the pure and unadulterated gospel of Jesus Christ led to the church’s natural growth and the establishment of the Maranatha Bible School in 1975 (now Maranatha Bible School International), nurturing future ministers and spreading the gospel.
A Time to Honor and Reflect
To honor and celebrate Apostle Arsenio Ferriol’s life, the entire PMCC (4th Watch) community will pay tribute for 14 days. Bishop Jonathan S. Ferriol emphasized, “During this time, we honor and mourn Apostle Arsenio T. Ferriol, a period of reflection and remembrance. We think of all the ways he enriched our lives with his powerful sermons, filled with wisdom and love, and his unwavering dedication to serving the church and community.”
Throughout these 14 days, PMCC (4th Watch) members find solace in sharing memories and stories of Apostle Arsenio Ferriol. “We find strength in the support of our church family as we grieve together and find peace in knowing that Apostle Arsenio Ferriol is now in a better place,” said Bishop Ferriol. “This is not just a time for sadness, but also a time for celebration. We celebrate the remarkable life that Apostle Arsenio T. Ferriol lived, the legacy he leaves behind, and the countless lives he has impacted.”
Continuing the Legacy
As we honor Apostle Arsenio Ferriol, it’s also a time to reflect on our own lives and how we can continue his legacy. We can strive to live a life of faith, compassion, and service to others, spreading his message of love and acceptance. Bishop Ferriol reminded us of the Bible’s wise words, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4).
