Shangri-La Plaza’s “Strokes of Love”
Before anyone else, there was mom.
She was our first home, our first comfort, our first cheerleader—and that kind of love deserves to be honored in beautiful, meaningful ways. This Mother’s Day, Shangri-La Plaza invites families to slow down, celebrate, and spend quality time together through Strokes of Love, a week-long celebration dedicated to all the amazing moms out there.

Something Special for Every Kind of Mama
Whether you’re an art lover, a wellness junkie, or simply in need of a little break (we get it!), Shangri-La Plaza has lined up events and activities that feel like little love letters to motherhood.
For the art-loving mama

Check out She, the Muse, a moving art exhibit by Galerie Raphael at the East Atrium (Mid Level 2/3) until May 9. It features paintings and sculptures by Filipino contemporary artists that pay tribute to the strength, softness, and spirit of mothers.
For moms who love bonding moments
From May 10–11, The MOMentous Fair takes over the Grand Atrium in partnership with Mommy Mundo. This isn’t your typical bazaar—it’s an experience. There’ll be inspiring talks by TV host and mom Iya Villania-Arellano, and child and family psychologist Dr. Honey Carandang, plus hands-on workshops on journaling, flower arranging, and fashion styling. There’s even yoga for moms and kids and a breathwork session to help us recharge and reconnect.
For the sentimental mama
Don’t miss MOMentous: The Photo Exhibit by photographer Stanley Ong, featuring the stories and portraits of real-life rockstar moms like Saab Magalona-Bacarro and BSP Assistant Governor Pia Roman-Tayag. It’s a beautiful reminder of the strength we carry every day.
For a quiet, meaningful escape
Head to Mom’s Nook (Mid Level 2/3, East Atrium) from May 10–11. Here, you and your little ones can bond over sweet activities like Draw My Mom by Puddy Rock and DIY crafts from Kidpentry. There’s also a relaxing hand massage corner by I Do Nails and an aromatherapy station by Young Living—perfect for a few moments of calm.
Don’t forget the flowers!

Cap off your celebration with a gorgeous bouquet from Painted in Petals at the Main Wing, Level 1, from May 9–11.
Whether you’re planning a solo mama date or spending the weekend with the whole fam, Strokes of Love at Shangri-La Plaza is a heartwarming way to honor motherhood through creativity, connection, and a little bit of well-deserved pampering.
