I learned from further readings that the Acrobatic Troupe had amazed worldwide audiences with their physical strength, balance, and agility. And surely, their skills of acrobats will leave the Filipino audience in awe, making the show a perfect treat for the whole family this holiday season. Two never-to-missed acts, I was told, are the Rose Bud contortionist and Peking Opera’s Huadan in Diabolo. The former is a daring performance of an actor as a mythical fox in a series of dance, contortion, and coquetry. The latter, on the other hand, showcases beautifully choreographed diabolo techniques and dances with performers dressed up splendidly to all the more tease the eyes of the audiences. This act has won several awards like the Gold Award of the 12th Budapest Festival in Hungary and President Award of the 26th International Circus Festival of Tomorrow, France.
