Finding Purpose Beyond the Office
As a mom of five boys, I’ve come to learn that what we do every day may seem small, but when done with intention and heart, it builds something lasting. I think of the meals I cook, the values I pass on, and even the stories I share. That’s why stories about companies that give back to communities mean something to me, especially when the work goes beyond business and touches real lives.

One such story recently caught my attention. It’s about TP, a company that helps people around the world with digital business services. But what truly stood out was what they’re doing for the people, right here in our country.
Recognizing Good Work That Helps Communities
TP was recently honored with the Gold Award for Community Support and Engagement at the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines’ Corporate Social Impact Awards. This award is not just a trophy for a shelf. It represents years of work by real people who have chosen to do more than what is expected.
The recognition was received by TP’s External Relations Manager Rechelle Facun, and Marketing Manager Adrian Elumba. They stood proudly on stage, representing the entire team that made it possible.
Behind the Award: A Foundation That Cares
What drives this impact is TP’s very own Citizen of the World Foundation. It was established in 2006 with a clear mission: to support the underserved, particularly children and the elderly. As a mom, that hits close to home. We all want our children to grow up in a world that looks out for each other.
In 2024 alone, their foundation raised over nine million pesos through donation drives, an online store, and partnerships. However, the most inspiring aspect is that much of this effort came from TP’s employees, who volunteered their time and resources. They invested more than 16,000 hours of service across 27 locations. That kind of dedication doesn’t just happen in the workplace. It’s rooted in care.
Changing Lives, One Community at a Time
As a result of these efforts, over 24,000 lives were impacted through 43 different community programs in just one year. These included support for children battling illness, care for the elderly, and housing assistance for families in need.
One of the initiatives that stood out to me was their support for TP Village in Tanay, Rizal. One hundred families received homes and continued assistance. For moms like me, a safe and secure home is everything. Knowing that a company made this a reality for so many families is profoundly moving.
Long-Term Help That Makes a Real Difference
The foundation also works with youth through a project called Life Project 4 Youth. In 2024, they assisted nearly one thousand vulnerable young people in rural areas in obtaining the training they needed to secure employment. The foundation raised five million pesos in donations for this effort alone.
They are also mindful of the planet. Through environmental efforts, such as tree planting and cleanup drives, they’ve helped reduce their carbon emissions by almost half per employee.
A Workplace That Cares, Inside and Out
TP does not just show care through its foundation. It also takes pride in how it treats its people. The company was recently named one of the best workplaces in the Philippines for the fourth consecutive year. It has also been certified as a Great Place to Work every year since 2018.
They even train and prepare individuals from underserved communities to work in the digital industry, helping them build a better life.
Why This Matters to Moms Like Us

Reading about efforts like these reminds me that good things are still happening all around us. When I think about the kind of world I want my boys to grow up in, it is one where kindness and care are not afterthoughts, where businesses use their strength to lift others.
TP and its Citizen of the World Foundation are doing just that: offering help where it matters, creating real opportunities, and showing that business can be human, too.
That’s a story worth sharing. Not just for awareness, but as a reminder that being a force for good, whether in the home, at work, or in the world, is something we all have the power to achieve.
