Visa and CCAP Join Forces for Smarter Financial Decisions

To support Filipino families in this journey, Visa and the Credit Card Association of the Philippines (CCAP) have partnered to provide new financial literacy training modules aimed at helping consumers become more financially empowered.

Visa, a global leader in digital payments, will share Practical Money Skills modules with CCAP to be used in training sessions across the country. These resources will help Filipinos understand credit, manage finances wisely, and navigate the digital economy with confidence.

The official partnership was signed on February 6, 2025, with key executives from Visa and CCAP in attendance. Jeffrey Navarro, Country Manager of Visa Philippines, emphasized that financial education is essential in making digital payments more accessible while equipping Filipinos with skills to thrive in today’s economy.

According to Visa’s latest Consumer Payment Attitudes Study, more Filipinos are embracing cashless transactions:
✔ Cash usage has dropped to 87%, compared to 96% in 2022
✔ 83% of Filipinos attempted to go fully cashless in 2023
✔ 43% carried less cash than the previous year

This shift shows how digital payments are becoming a preferred, secure, and convenient way to manage daily transactions.

For moms, understanding finances goes beyond paying bills—it’s about making smarter choices for the family’s future. This partnership supports CCAP’s ongoing collaboration with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas to promote responsible credit card use and financial education among Filipinos.
