If I’m earning a reasonable income, why am I not becoming wealthy?
I once read this question from a financial planning book titled The Wealthy Barber by Canadian author David Chilton. The book is an excellent read, giving readers personal finance advice. And what makes it more interesting is the concept the one giving the finance tips is a barber. The fictitious characters on the book are quite intrigued by how the millionaire barber accumulated his wealth on a barber’s salary.
A Brighter Tomorrow for The Wealthy Barber
The Wealthy Barber is what pushed me to look into mutual funds and get a servicing advisor to help me watch the ups and downs of the markets. More so, the book taught me to get a mix of stocks from different investments. This strategy helps me not to feel the sudden drop in shares of my investment because there are still other assets I have.
