On my first salary, I bought my mom her own Tupperware Spaghetti gift set. She loves to cook spaghetti for her only daughter and I would want to inspire her to cook more. I can still vividly remember I paid for that set for six paydays. And I had second thoughts buying the item. It was too expensive for an entry-level employee.
Often, I would find myself pressing my nose against my one-year old’s head. I would then take that long deep sniff and kiss his hair. I would do that every time I babywear, carry or breastfeed him. I find his baby fresh smell the most wonderful scent in the world. It is so appealing, more like what drugs do to addicts and books to bookworms.
But as my baby begins to crawl and explore, his fresh baby scent seems to fade. He would often sweat a lot. And that distinctly pleasant odor would be gone.
