It’s back-to-school time! As a homemaker and mom, we need to stock up on nutritious and delectable meals for our school kids. They need those to help them start off right, sustain their energy well throughout the day, and still end on a high note at night. Good thing we could always rely on Rustan’s Supermarket to help us with our supplies.
Who wouldn’t love that perfect summer barbecue party at the comforts of your home?
It was more than a month ago when we had our barbecue party at the small house. And the boys so loved the experience. So last Sunday when we had our grocery, we bought all the essentials we would be needing for our next summer barbecue party. From food to spices, supplies and other essentials, we got all we need at our favorite Rustan’s Supermarket.
It wasn’t until lately that I have discovered my love for Japanese cuisine. For a long time, I despise Japanese food because it made me throw up 15 years ago. I was pregnant then with my first born, and since then, I never tried any Japanese food, sushi particularly.
A blogger friend invited me in one Japanese Izakaya a few months ago. And I honestly fell in love with the place, the staff, and of course, with the food. After that experience, I have come to love maki and ippin yoki; tried a variety of yakitori and donburi; and so love to sip hot noodles.
Now, imagine my great delight when I learned that our favorite supermarket, Rustan’s, is holding a Japanese Food Fair today until May 7! Surely, I won’t be missing any more of Japan’s tasty goodies and even discover more great treats. And I could all have them in the comforts of our small house.
I remember one of the first gifts I gave my mom on her birthday when I started earning was a set of crystal glasses. Each had a bird design and a rough surface. I told myself that set would probably last long. They will not easily slip from our hands while washing because of the rough texture. Many years after, there are still three remaining glasses from that set in my mom’s cupboard. Joining them are more glasses of different designs, sizes, and shapes. That is why my mom does not want to buy drinking glasses by the set. If you broke one, you need to buy the whole set again to complete the collection. But we would always fall for the design of those set glasswares, and opt to just buy a new one for replacement.
The same story goes when I started my family and have been blessed with four boys. We would often buy new drinking glasses as the boys would drop them. Until husband proposed that we invest on a quality brand.
