Written a year ago, No fake cries for baby is one of those posts down memory lane. Our baby here is only less than a month old. Today, he is one year and three months old. He cries when needing attention. And he can easily well his eyes with tears.
“Yael is only faking his cry. I can’t see any tears rolling down his cheeks,” was big Bunso’s observation.
I’ve explained to my son that every baby, when crying, creates enough tears only to lubricate and protect his eyes. Teardrops will appear when he turns one month old or even earlier.
I also reminded the boys that our baby isn’t faking his cry especially when his face turns red as he lets out a very heartbreaking wail. “Call mama immediately if that happens,” I added.
