Momi Berlin Recommends Atreena Fresh Market

Aug 26, 2019 | Likes, Live, Only Berlin

This mother went back to work-away-from-home come August 2019.  My mom got an office and hired me as an Accounts Support.   So every day, after tending to the needs of the boys and cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner – we head to the office.  My four-year-old and two-year-old boys also go with me.  They have a small room at the office where they can play, watch tv, and even sleep.

Since we went back to work, one of the adjustments we did was pamamalengke.  Unlike before when we do our palengke every Monday, now, we do our shopping every Sunday.  And we have to wake up real early to get fresh vegetables and meat because the talipapa near our place is just small that it only caters to the limited needs of a few households.  We find this new set up as quite challenging because weekends are the only days we get to sleep an extra hour or two.

Very timely that our good friend Kat of Petite Momma’s World introduced to us Atreena Fresh Market

What is Atreena?

Momi Berlin Recommends Atreena Fresh Market

Atreena is an online platform for fresh produce delivery.  It is like having a personal shopper for all your fresh market needs. That instead of going to the wet market and buying your week’s supply of food, Atreena does the shopping for you.

How does Atreena work?

All you have to do is download the Atreena app through the Google Play or App Store.  You may also opt to shop via their website.

Once you’ve ve got the app, you will type in your delivery address to search for the available wet market. The products are categorized according to types such as fruits, vegetables, chicken, pork, and beef.  If you want some ripe mangoes, for instance, all you have to do is tick its box. You also have the option to choose how many kilos you would want for yourself. Everything you choose will be added to your cart. And once you’ve completed shopping, choose your delivery time and payment option. So basically, Atreena is just like your favorite online shop only that the products offered are fresh produce.

What do we love about Atreena?

save time

We love the fact that this wet market online app saves us the hassle to go the market.  Doing our weekly pamamalengke takes more than an hour from our time which we could use instead for other household chores. With Atreena, they deliver our fresh produce on the time and date we choose.  On our first try, we asked for a Friday at 4 pm.  We got a knock on our door at exactly 4:05 pm.

easily manage budget

Secondly, we could readily see the amount of each item which helps us to easily manage our weekly food budget. If we go beyond the budget, we could simply adjust the quantity of some products.

extensive choices

Also, the choices are so extensive. As we look at the fish category, for instance, we learned of the various kinds of fish.  At our nearby talipapa, they only offer bangus and tilapia so these are the only ones we cook at home.  Now, not anymore with Atreena.  For the first time, we were able to buy halaan which my LittleMan loves to eat every time we visit our favorite diner.

Before, we only cook what’s available in the talipapa near ours.  Now, we had halaan the other day, thanks to Atreena.

Reasonably priced

To add, the price of each item is still presyong palengke.  This is what I love best about Atreena.  In the talipapa near ours, the owner tends to overprice because she has no competitor.

Through Atreena, we bought halaan at Farmers Market at P100 per 500 grams.  I remember when we asked a friend if she could buy us a kilo as halaan at their place is priced at P80.  She lives in San Jose del Monte Bulacan which is about an hour away from us.  Food also there is way lower compared to prices in the Metro but surely, the delivery charge would be high.

Complete convenience

Virtual stores like Atreena allow homemakers to shop from the comfort of their homes.  And think about this- there is no pressure of a salesperson nor fellow mamimili, no siksikan, and no travel- long or short.  We got what we need at a reasonable price.  We only paid for the delivery charge which is P99.00. The charge depends on the distance of the wet market to your home.

Will we recommend Atreena?

I love juicing; sadly the talipapa near our place doesn’t have the ingredients I need. Now, with Atreena, I could do juicing anytime I like!

We highly recommend Atreena.  Such kind of app provides a more convenient venue for shopping fresh produce.  As they deliver the fruits, vegetables, and meat we ordered, it seems like it’s me who shopped for the items.  The mangoes, kiat kiat, and bananas are all fresh, same with the carrots and cucumber. I got half a kilo of lomo, gave an instruction to have it cut very thinly, and it’s exactly what we received.

We don’t want to push further how convenient Atreena is. Have your own proof of the Atreena convenience and share with us your experience.  Atreena gives an exclusive 15% discount to all Metro Manila Momi  Berlin followers. You may use the voucher code MOMIBERLIN15, no minimum purchase order required.

Happy shopping!

WOW! I’d never heard of Atreena before this. I would love to try it. We don’t cook anymore and mostly snack… so the meal deliveries are too much, this sounds perfect! Thanks for the post!

That is definitely a great way to shop if you are very busy and don’t make it to the market. I like to choose my own products though, I enjoy going to the supermarket.

I am all about fresh produce. Where I use to live there was an organic produce delivery service and I greatly miss it.

Even though I usually prefer to pick out my own produce, etc. there is a a benefit to having it delivered on those weeks when I don’t have time to go to the store

Atreena, does sound like an amazing idea. We have a similar company here that delivers organic fresh produce. I am not sure how I feel about having groceries delivered as I was disappointed with a similar service in the past.
