MOMI SHARES| That ties that bind

Dec 4, 2017 | Likes, Only Berlin

I believe God has a reason for giving us five boys.  Yes.  Five boys.

Like most expectant moms, I also wished to have a baby girl.  Each time we walk into that sonogram appointment, I prayed for a girl only that the OB-Gyn Sonologist would tell us “It’s a boy.”

Cut the tie that binds

After my fifth childbirth, I had my ligation.  It’s a surgery that blocks my fallopian tube preventing my egg cells to reach the tubes.  It is a permanent form of birth control.  I will no longer have a daughter.

Understanding boys isn’t difficult as I live it.  It is because I try not to understand them sometimes when I find it hard to do.  I just act and speak with love and everything else seems easy again.  It’s a trick my husband taught me – [tweetshareinline tweet=”do things that move you to love and everything else seems to follow” username=”SPk3(ad*e(5d4@pEwem@tnlADFb9ZZc8:1:1″].

Ties meant to be

I used to be close to my three boys.  As they mature, though, their interests aren’t the same as mine anymore.  This widens the gap until I am now left with my two younger boys to care.  But I may say that despite the not so close relationship we have, we still have the connection.  There are times that they would tell me things which they can’t confide to their father.  Perhaps because of the ties that bind us.  [tweetshareinline tweet=”Some ties defy distance, time and logic because some ties are simply meant to be.” username=”SPk3(ad*e(5d4@pEwem@tnlADFb9ZZc8:1:1″]

Ties that bind

Pretty much the same ties that bind me to Folk Ties.  It is a small backyard enterprise that produces hand-woven bracelets that fit perfectly to any personality or every OOTD.  It is a personal customized accessory I still use from time to time because again, it completes the look I would want to project.  Perhaps it is the same ties that bind the founder Virna Alyssa Cabuhat to start Folk Ties in 2012 and relaunch it recently.  Virna believes she has the market for her Folk Ties – those individuals who value their personality, style, and affection for hand-crafted products.

I can be real sentimental.  Despite living in this age when technology keeps reinventing, I can still hold on to some values and possibly style of my earlier years, these Folk Ties bracelets, included.

If you still can’t think of something to give your friends and even family this Christmas, how about including one or two hand-woven bracelets on your gift box?  I am guessing they will appreciate your gift because each is specially handmade with love.  Folk Ties ships all throughout the Philippines, too.  And should you wish to purchase, use the code ALLAROUNDPINAYMAMA30.03 to get 20% off.

Ties defy indifference

I have five boys.  My three boys who pretend to be grown up already play video games while I don’t.  Roller coaster rides scare me while they love them to the fullest.  We have many differences but some ties defy dissimilarity because some ties are simply meant to be.

The ties that bond are also the bond that never breaks. Cheer up. The little ones will soon live their lives the way they think and see fit. Meanwhile, they were once little birds too. After all that has been said and done, wherever and however they live, these now big birds will always have their nest to fall back to, and you will be there. Always.

Wow. I have mixed emotions about this. I certainly did not know there’s a procedure like that for women; let alone that you went through it. Somehow, my female side felt sad about that. It’s one of the greatest things about being a woman and *poof* it’s disabled. However, that bracelets or accessories really look good and eye-catching. Surely, anyone who receives it will really be pleased!

God’s plan is always perfect and I believe He has a great reason why He didn’t send you a daughter
I’m not a father yet but I can somehow relate with that growing up thing.. I am the eldest and the age gap between be and my younger siblings is quite big.. so I witness how they grow up and how their interests started to change as time passed by.. it’s quite sad indeed but that’s part of the process of life I guess…

This will definitely give a personal touch to the gifts.

Yes as children grow their interests change. Parents have to keep up with ever changing world rapidly else there will soon be a communication gap. Wishing you all a great festive season ahead.

I love the ties!! They are so colorful and cheerful. I would love to have some of these. Hand made things are always special, so I know why you wear these from time to time.

P.S. I don’t know how I missed it, but this is the first time I get to realize you have 5 boys. Woow!!! 🙂

I have 2 boys and man are they a handful, I couldnt imagine having another boy. They can definitely keep you busy. I had my tubes tied this year too, so no more chances for a lil girl here. Also, I am also very sentimental. Like I hold onto some of the craziest things. Chin up love, this is just one transition in life. Things change for everyone as we age.

Wow! I could just imagine how you’re home is. My mom actually grew up with 8 brothers and she’s the only girl. Hahaha. I’m sure even though you’re boys are busy with their interests and life. They’ll be back in a few years and make lambing to you. Just like my brothers (like my mom, I’m the only girl in the fam). Btw, the ties/friendship bracelets are cute. I make those myself too. Merry Christmas!

I really enjoyed reading this – I’m sorry that it’s challenging for you at the moment. I’ve always joked that I could never have more than one boy because of the amount of food they consume! I can only imagine the reality.

What I loved the most about this post is the statement “do things that move you to love and everything else will follow” – I couldn’t agree more!

Seeing those crafts makes me want to continue the passion I have for leather crafts. I want to have bracelet tie bond like that. I hope you’ll sell it too. Thanks!
