MOMI LAUGHS/ Anecdotes from Tots part 15

Sep 9, 2016 | Love, Only Berlin

Presenting my 15th installment of the anecdotes from tots.  Now. it’s very seldom that my boys make their momi laugh because of their witty and sometimes bizarre statements or musings.  Still, glad that I was able to compile some of them.  I hope they chance upon this page and read just how they made their momi so happy and proud.

Anecdotes from tots on pixelated video

June 4, 2013

Second son and the father in a serious conversation

second son:  Papa, why is the woman’s breast pixelated in the video?

the father:  (readily imagined the kind of video his son saw on tv)  Ow, because the part of a woman’s body is too precious and sacred to be seen in public.  The network needs to hide it from the viewing public.

second son: Ahh.

Anecdotes from tots on strange light

June 2013

After their warm glasses of milk, I sent the boys to bed. It was time to sleep.

From the bedroom door, though, I saw a rather familiar light obviously not coming from the lamp or the fluorescent bulb.  It was a strange yet familiar light from the boys’ bedroom.

Anecdotes from tots on the good news and the bad news

April 29, 2013

With the mother not leaving the house for two weeks, the boys got the chance to play with the iPod BIG time.

Then I told the boys that mama will be reporting for work starting today.  And my Big Bunso told me that he has some special surprise for me.  “Check the iPod when you’re at the office already.”

I checked the iPod once at the office.  Good news and bad news.

Bnews–  my iPod charger connecting to the computer was not working.  the boys weren’t too easy with the cable. The damage was obviously caused by pulling on the cord instead of gripping the plug.

But the good news was —

I got a sweet message from my Big Bunso.

Funny anecdotes from tots or rather one sweet message from my little man.

Never mind the broken cable. I may ask husband to buy us a new one.

Anecdotes from tots on  “the communion bread taste like ice cream cone”

Saturday, Feb 23, 2013

Second son’s initial comment after his First Communion:  “the communion bread tastes like ice cream cone. “

Sunday, Feb 24

We heard mass together and Second son whispered to me: “When it is my time to receive the Holy Communion, I will tell Father Lito “Wait, Father, I have with me a cup of ice cream, kindly dip my communion wafer here, please.”

Anecdotes from tots on Big Bunso hymning a church song while playing

February 11, 2013

Saturday.

Big Bunso was playing Lego Minotaurs.

And while playing, he was hymning.

He was hymning a church song.

And the title of the church song –  Lord, I Offer You My Life.

Anecdotes from tots on a father’s sad stoRy

January 30, 2013

Husband and Firstborn went for a walk.

They passed by a convenience store.

Firstborn:  How I wish I could have my first Magnum taste.

Husband invited firstborn inside the store.  He asked Firstborn to pick his Magnum.  Husband got a bottle of soft drink for himself.

Husband and Firstborn walking again.

Firstborn:  Magnum makes me so thirsty.  How I wish I have my own drinks.

Husband hasn’t opened his bottle yet.

Husband:  Firstborn, you want my Royal?

Firstborn:  Great! Thanks, Papa, ha!

Husband to himself:  I thought he would even tell me “Papa, let us share.”  He finished the Magnum and the soft drink all by himself.

Anecdotes from tots on how a seven-year-old boy interprets a salawikain (proverb)

December 19, 2013

What good is the grass if the horse is dead.

The mother and Big Bunso were reviewing for the little boy’s Aralin Panlipunan examination.  The mother read an example of a salawikain (proverb).  The Big Bunso — all honest and innocent — commented.

“If there would be no more horses, the goat — or even the cow — could always eat the grasses.”

Anecdotes from tots on the gift of foresight

November 27, 2014

Lunch last Saturday was extra special. This was the mother’s way to push her boys review for their coming monthly examinations.

Husband:  Wow!  Saturday special lunch!

Second son and Firstborn:   (echoed husband’s delight)

Big Bunso:  But special meal also means a lot of dishes to wash after.

Our Big Bunso was definitely thinking beyond the food and showed an impressive ability to predict the future.

Super love the anecdotes. Of all the ones you posted here, I especially like the one with the broken cable pero look at the message naman. Diba??? Alam mo, buti hindi ka napikon or nainis, kasi kung nagkataon, baka na guilty ka after seeing the message 🙂

Haha. Oo nga e. Buti na lang I saw the cable when I was at the office na, no time para mainis ng harapan. But yes, love that broken cable story.

I wouldn’t know what to feel with that iPad message and destroyed charger! They really are involved with technology. I used to be the same too but with books. I’d destroy the books to create a sweet message. Now I know how much of a headache I caused!

Haha. But with the sweet message behind the battered books, i am sure you were forgiven many times.

I’m sure your anecdotes is something your kids will enjoy reading too as they grow older. You’ve captured the precious moments that should be cherished. Anyway out of the anecdotes that you shared, I love the reply of your husband with regards to the pixelated private part of the woman. My future husband should learn from him.

What caught my interest in your post is the comment on the host. My eldest is now preparing for his First Communion. I wonder what his comment will be when he tastes the host for the first time. It would be fun to read these anecdotes with them when they are older. 🙂

I adored reading through these! Some made me giggles, but my favourite was the broken cable / sweet message.

That’s what love is all about isn’t it? Easy forgiveness for something that is by far more important! 🙂 Keep up the gorgeous work! xx

That is so sweet of your son, I don’t think anyone would mind if their ipod was broken or damaged, just so long as there was a message from little man 🙂
