My mother told me once she wanted her only daughter to take up ballet lessons. We cannot afford the tuition fee, though, thus that plan was put on hold until totally scrapped.
Now that I have kids of my own, my mom would want them to attend ballet lessons. Only that they aren’t interested. They prefer basketball or soccer. Perhaps because they are all boys.

Becoming a ballet dancer requires years of training. Ballet has been taught in various schools around the world, which have historically incorporated their own cultures to evolve the art. It originated in the Italian Renaissance courts of the 15th century and later developed into a concert dance form in France and Russia. It has been globally influential and has defined the foundational strategies used in many other dance genres.

Ballet will always be close to my heart. It would be nice to be able to pass this love over to my kids. I think it’s great that they are opening a ballet school, the perfect opportunity for aspiring dancers to follow their dreams!
I must admit I don’t know much about ballet. I didn’t have the option to take classes when I was a kid. But the amount of strength and skill ballet dancers have is amazing!
Believe me, we admire “non-dancers” for so many things other than just dancing 🙂
Haha. Love their guts and perseverance. 🙂
I enjoy watching it, but never wanted to be a ballerina. It’s a tough actively, that’s for sure!
My niece followed her ballet career all the way through college. I think she may end up teaching!
I don’t know much of ballet because my daughters were more into sports but I have a niece that adores it. Love watching her performances 🙂
I know that certain activities can be much more expensive than others. I also know it can be hard to afford the ones that you want.
True Ballet requires a ridiculous amount of hard work, discipline and conditioning your body. It’s one of the most beautiful artforms of dance I have ever seen. So glad your post was rich in the history of this school and how amazing it is.
My sister use to be in ballet. She loved it too. I think it does take a lot of strength too. I think it would be great if either of my girls were in ballet.
Since I was a child, I am dreaming to be a famous ballerina. How I wish I can enroll myself too.
When I was younger we would visit the ballet every year. It’s one of the most beautiful art forms ever!
Would want to learn ballet too. It’s my mom’s dream for me. And I learned to dream it for me as well.
I wanted to be a ballerina when I was younger, but the thought never crossed my mind to ask for lessons. It takes such discipline to do ballet, I admire those dancers.
