It wasn’t until later that I have discovered my love for Japanese cuisine. For a long time, I despise Japanese food because it made me throw up 15 years ago. I was pregnant then with my firstborn, and since then, I never tried any Japanese food, sushi particularly.
A blogger friend invited me to one Japanese Izakaya a few months ago. And I honestly fell in love with the place, the staff, and of course, with the food. After that experience, I have come to love maki and ippin yoki; tried a variety of yakitori and donburi; and so love to sip hot noodles.
Now, imagine my great delight when I learned that our favorite supermarket, Rustan’s, is holding a Japanese Food Fair today until May 7! Surely, I won’t be missing any more of Japan’s tasty goodies and even discover more great treats. And I could all have them in the comforts of our small house.
