MOMI RECOMMENDS| Start Serious Protection with Forti-D

I came from my OB Gynecologist yesterday.  She cleaned my Cesarean section incision.  From my visit as well, she advised me to continue the same prenatal vitamins I took throughout my pregnancy.  She also gave a set of vitamins for me to take as most nursing moms have unique nutritional needs that are not necessarily addressed by a typical prenatal vitamin. My OB also stressed that I need these food supplements to ensure optimal health for both myself and the baby.  She advised me to take Vitamin D.

Serious protection Vitamin D gives

While breast milk is the best source of nutrients for babies, it, however, doesn’t provide enough vitamin D.   My baby needs vitamin D to absorb calcium and phosphorus.   Calcium is one of the minerals that the baby and his mother needs for normal bone formation. Vitamin D deficiency can lead to osteoporosis in adults and rickets in children.  Osteoporosis is the decrease in the density of bone resulting in fragile bones, while rickets is the softening and weakening of bones.  And to help provide our Vitamin D requirement, I need to take Vitamin D supplements.

Serious sources of Vitamin D

When I went home, I checked on the other importance of Vitamin D.  I learned that Vitamin D deficiency happens because it is hard to get enough Vitamin D from the sun (which is its main source).  It is also difficult to obtain from food as the *RDA of Vitamin D is equivalent to four eggs or eight glasses of milk or two cans of tuna flakes every day.

*RDA is the estimated amount of a nutrient (or calories) per day considered necessary for the maintenance of good health by the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Research Council/ National Academy of Sciences.

As my baby gets older and capable of eating solid food, I could then help him meet his daily vitamin D requirement.  All I need to do is serve him food that contains vitamin D such as salmon, egg yolk, cheese, and beef liver.  But as of the meantime, it would be his mom who would take some vitamin D supplements to ensure his serious protection against diseases, rickets included.

My OB recommended that I take one soft gelatin capsule of Forti-D a day.   With regular intake, I am assured that this breastfeeding mom has sufficient level of Vitamin D and that my breast milk contains Vitamin D.  Aside for my son’s benefit, I also need vitamin D for other important body functions.  My body for one needs vitamin D to absorb calcium and promote bone growth.

Start serious protection today with Forti-D

This mother then recommends especially to breastfeeding moms to start serious protection today with Forti-D.   For one, Vitamin D supplementation for nursing mothers is important to help provide the Vitamin D requirements of the infant.  Secondly, Vitamin D deficiency is strongly linked to chronic diseases such as cancer, heart failure, and diabetes.  This is because studies show that 36 of our organs and tissues are regulated by Vitamin D, including our heart, lungs, brain, and bones.  And to provide serious protection against these diseases, taking Vitamin D supplement is advisable.  And one Vitamin D supplement that my doctor recommends is Forti-D.  I trust my doctor so I trust Forti-D.  When I checked the makers of Forti-D, the more than I am assured of the serious protection it could give.  Forti-D is one of the trusted and quality products of the biggest pharmaceutical company in the country, Unilab.

The great brand speaks for itself.
