Most moms even physicians say that finding a treatment that works best for our kids’ allergy may take a little time. But once we’ve found one, it’s for keeps. Same with finding our best friend for life.
My first born and I found our best friend in Allerkid. Firstborn has allergic rhinitis. And though he tries his best to avoid that cause his allergy like dust and mold, he would still do the “hatsing-singhot-kamot.” I would then give him Allerkid as it controls allergy in as fast as 20 minutes. It effectively lasts up to 24 hours, thus, one take is enough for a day. He also loves the great grape taste of Allerkid because it uses TasteRite Technology which masks the bitter taste of medicines.
Now that rainy season is here, mold can increase with more moisture, and I would expect a worse-than-usual allergy season as well. Very timely then that we got an invite from Allerkid, the kid allergy expert, to attend their fun and informative talk last Thursday at KidZania Manila. The event targets to increase awareness and promote allergy education among parents and kids alike. They partnered with the pediatricians who are the kid health experts to bring awareness on allergy signs, symptoms, and management.
Mr. Ony Carcamo, a renowned ventriloquist, captured the doctors, the kids and their parents with his educational and entertaining performance about the causes of allergy and who to trust when facing such problem. Dr. Shirley Kwong, an allergist from the Philippine Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (PSAAI), gave a detailed talk on how to counter allergy and also promoted the Allergy Club of PSAAI. The Allergy Club of PSAAI aims to educate patients about their allergic diseases to eventually help them control their allergies and improve their quality of life. She invited parents and asked help to spread the word that the celebration of the National Allergy Day will be on July 3, 2016. It will be held at the Fisher Mall in Quezon Ave., Quezon City and a lot of fun games and activities are in store aside from educational and informative talks about allergy.
After the talks and some entertainment, we got to enjoy Kidzania Manila. For four hours, we forgot about my boy’s allergy. All throughout our stay, I enjoyed seeing the excitement on my little man’s face. We explored the spacious play city and tried some role playing activities. He relayed to me that among the many role-play activities, he enjoyed being a journalist as he was able to interview, write, and even print his own story.
Thank you, Allerkid, for this opportunity. You have been so generous and kind to us for making my son’s school vacation truly memorable. He has been begging me to visit Kidzania for months already and finally, we were able to last Thursday. And more than that, you have always been there for my firstborn to enjoy his day -summer or rainy season – to relieve him of his allergy.
Cetirizine Allerkid is the most doctor-prescribed and No. 1 allergy medicine for kids. It is effective in relieving allergy symptoms of allergic rhinitis such as sneezing, nasal itching, watery eyes or what we call as “hatsing-singhot-kamot.”. It is also best to counter allergic conjunctivitis and atopic dermatitis.
