My boys so love SPAM that we always have a few stock in our pantry. And anytime I feel not cooking, I just open a can, heat over a low fire, then serve to my kids.
The boys love to eat them with fried eggs and rice, and it doesn’t matter what time of the day. Sometimes, I partner the SPAM with soup so as to add flavor to the dish.
This morning, though, I thought of cooking their favorite SPAM differently. And then I also prepared a brothy Picadillo to go with it.
The boys are all still sleeping and I can’t wait for them to wake up. Though just a simple meal, I am sure this morning will be a feast at the small house.
P.S.
For the leftover SPAM, I cut them into tiny cubes then made my mother and husband a SPAM pita bread.
- Our brothy PIcadillo. If we still have some left over, I will just dry the Picadillo and make it into an omelette for tomorrow’s breakfast.
- Made a hole then poured some egg in the middle. Fried over low heat.
A happy morning, every one!
This is so yummy! I hope you’ll post more and recipes along with it. Yay!
Thank you.
I also love SPAM and I think our household likes SPAM too since they usually serve it for breakfast. That serving is quite different since I can’t imagine the taste of the SPAM being served with picadillo. What was the feedback of your sons? Maybe you would like to try SPAM Musubi next time.
Haha. The kids could be real forgiving if our food arent terno. They love soup anyway. Ihihi.
