MOMI LAUGHS/ My son is now using his father’s perfume!

May 2, 2016 | Only Berlin

They say that boys only wear cologne to attract girls. I am nursing my little one when the second son goes out from his room. He smells like his father. I ask him if he wears his papa’s perfume and he nods.

OMG!  I am just dumbfounded!  My son prefers to wear an adult’s perfume over his cologne.

Am I getting old or my son is just starting to be a man? But he is just 12 years old!

Twelve is about the age of the Men’s Cologne. As a former educator, I have seen this before. Cute story.

That stage wherein they tend to experiment and try almost anything. Thanks for hearing that, appreciate such affirmation coming from an educator.

My 12-year-old also started recently wearing his dad’s cologne. I buy him his own, but he says that dad’s smells better. Yeah, dad’s cologne also has a much too hefty price tag for tween cologne bathing practices! I do have the best smelling kid in town though. 😉

Haha. I hope the dad will not notice how fast his cologne bottle gets empty.

My teen was that age when he started with the perfumes. He did wear his dads though as dad does not use any due to my allergies.

That’s definitely just part of growing up. I remember my girls suddenly caring about their hair when they were twelve and that’s only the beginning.

Although I believe it’s normal, I’d probably take that as a chance to make him more self-aware when it comes to dressing up for the occasion and etiquette-related things! And maybe pick a perfume just right enough for his age, haha. Men’s perfume are a bit strong for everyday life with us women.
